Reviews
Young Basel violinist wins hearts
What energy
The evening’s soloist, Swiss violinist Anna Naomi Schultsz, then took the audience by storm. Her interpretation of Henryk Wieniawski’s ‘Légende, Op. 17’ proved to be a musical revelation. It is incredible with what energy and verve the 21-year-old masters her instrument.
The soloist coaxes barely audible overtones from her instrument; her fingers glide across the fingerboard at breathtaking speed, and all with an almost unbelievable ease.
